Lastly, right before your treatment begins, your doctor or esthetician will attach sterile needles to the Collagen P.I.N. device, set the appropriate needle depth, and determine the number of passes to be completed.

Most patients get visible results after the first treatment, with optimal results in 3 treatments. Individual results vary depending on multiple factors including skin health and the issue being treated. In most cases patients notice results 1-2 weeks after the first treatment. However, some patients see changes in even less time, within just a few days after their treatment.

While it’s possible to see results after a single treatment, ultimately the number of treatments you will require will be specific to you. More often than not, 3 treatments will be recommended.

However a series of up to 6 treatments may be recommended depending on your treatment area and goals. Together you and your skincare professional will determine a treatment schedule which is usually spaced in 4-week intervals. Please note, If you have deep wrinkles, advanced sun damage, deep stretch marks, or any type of scars, you will most likely require 6 (or more) treatments to achieve your desired results.

Your skin will continue to produce new collagen and elastin for up to one year after your last treatment (but we have seen patients whose results have lasted longer with a proper skincare regimen and a series of treatments).

Prior to your treatment, a topical numbing agent will be applied to your skin in order to prevent any discomfort. Most people say they feel almost nothing, with very few ranking the treatment at a 2/10 on the pain scale.

Collagen PIN is widely considered a no-downtime treatment. However, immediately after your treatment, your skin will look slightly pink to moderately red. Don’t worry! This will go away very quickly. We’ll also recommend skin care products for your post-care based on your individual skin type. This will greatly minimize any symptoms and enhance your overall results.

Directly after your treatment, we strongly recommend giving your skin time to heal the microchannels created by the treatment. If you must use make-up, you should only use a mineral-based foundation, as it cannot build bacteria. You can return to regular foundation 4 days post-treatment.
